Digital Portraits

I started off 2020 still unemployed from the previous year’s layoff and was still figuring out my next path until I accepted a position with Passion Planner in late spring. During that time of funemployment, I took on a lot of commission requests as an extra source of income and these are some of the ones I worked on.
Custom Handmade Keychains

During the pandemic, I also experimented with making custom keychains. I didn’t have the hindsight at the time to document all of the ones I made but here are some of them.
THE PROCESS:
Draw
First I drew the portrait with colored pencil on shrink plastic.
Bake
After drawing and cutting out the shape, the portrait is baked in the oven and significantly shrunken down.
Coat
The portrait is then coated with UV resin to preserve the pin/keychain and bring out the color’s vibrancy.

Hand Carved Stamps

2020 was a really creative year for me where I also dabbled into hand carving stamps for fun.
