Rabbit Moonlight is my first cover design for Passion Planner with a Year of the Rabbit theme to continue the Chinese zodiac themed covers that we started for 2022 with Year of the Tiger.

DESIGN PROCESS

Initial concept sketch using a moon rabbit theme often found in Asian folklore.

The illustration was expanded to work as a full wraparound cover design. Negative space is blocked out and floral elements were removed to make the design a little more gender-neutral.

Final design debossed in metallic pearl gold faux leather.
